BILOXI MARSH REPORT

I had the great pleasure to fish with Louisiana fishing legend Dutch Prager and his fishing partner Richard Kilgore. Between these two fisherman I had close to 150 years of fishing experience! ! ! I have fished with Dutch for over 5 years now. Dutch loves the Biloxi Marsh as I do, So thats where I pointed the Cajun Limo. Our first spot provided not a bite. Our second spot produced a 13" Speck by Dutch and several small Reds that Dutch taged and released. After the first couple of hours only produced 1 keeper Redfish I knew the bright moon the night before would make the bite later in the day. My third spot had several pods of REDFISH crusing the bank. We picked up one more for the box. I decided to stay in the area waiting for the bite to turn on. At noon we had 3 fish in the box 2 Reds and a trout. At 12:40 we had 9 Reds in the box and the bite had picked up. By 1:00 the limit was reached along with a few Reds we released (Dutch & Richard like the smaller reds) & a bonus Black Drum. We had to wait them out. If you have a bright moon the night before your trip and the action is slow, stay with it until you find some, then wait them out. When they turn on, you'll get your limit. We went from 3 in the box to 3 on at a time. Dutch and Richard did a great job as always.

I have some dates open in Sept, I am the only guide in the Slidell area not working for BP. Give me a call and I'll put you on fish until your favorite guide comes back to fishing.

I have on site accommodations and I GUARANTEE FISH ! ! ! 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA

FISHING REPORT

Dave Hausman came in from Iowa with son Kenny (9) and brother N law Dan. We fished the local marsh to catch a limit of nice REDFISH. Live shrimp under a cork was the ticket to some great action. The shrimp would jump out of the water to get away from the Reds and you could see the REDFISH attack the shrimp on top the water. Little Kenny had a smile a mile long. Check out the pictures!!

I have some dates open in September and October.

FISHING REPORTS

Time to catch up on a few reports. I have been catching good numbers of Redfish.

Johnny Newsome and still working friend Jeff Harris came in from Al to tangle with some Redfish. We fished the western shore of Lake Borgne with live shrimp under a cork and spinners & spoons to catch a limit (10) of nice grilling sized REDFISH, and 6 Flounder. It was good to fish with Johnny & Jeff.  I look forward to there return.

I fished with Paul Lea and his son PJ a few years back. This trip Paul also brought friend Chuck and his son CJ. I helped the boys in the front of the CAJUN LIMO while Chuck & Paul fished the back. We fished the same area as the day before with live shrimp under corks to catch another limit (20) of REDFISH and 2 Flounder. A fun time was had by all. We missed the rain and the heat, back at the dock before lunch.

I have some dates open in August and September. The REDFISHING has been good. By mid month the grass in the duck ponds will die off, making for some great sight fishing. Call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA. I GUARANTEE FISH & FUN! ! ! !

Timothd y McCormick

Addis, LA USA

On August 9th, a trio including myself, my best friend, and his mother, chartered Capt. Mike Gallo to take us redfishing for my best friend's birthday. We hit the water about 5:30 am and started fishing about 6:30 or so. By 8 or so, I had my limit of redfish all well over 20" or so. My friend, Todd amd his mother, Yvonne, started out slowly but finished up strong by landing several oversized bull-reds! I can't relate to you how pleased we were with our trip. Capt. Mike was personable, professional, and knowledgable. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a great time on the water hooking up some monster reds!!!

BILOXI MARSH REPORTS

The Steve Purcell group has fished with me since 1999. This fun group of fishermen love to fish for REDFISH in the Biloxi Marsh. This year Steve had his brothers Tony, Butch and 4 coworkers. They are all from Texas. Capt's Tommy and John helped me out with this group and as always did a great job. After 2 days of fishing with Spinners, Spoons, Chatterbaits & shrimp under a cork this group of 7 had 14 limits of Redfish, a few Black Drum and several fat Flounder. This group had the SPOTS & DOTS LAKE HOUSE smelling like deer sausage and fresh Redfish on the grill. They are all good fishermen and I always look forward to fishing with them. They'll be back soon before deer season opens, then I will not see them until next year.

FISHING REPORT

I had the good fortune to guide and fish with Velma St.Romain and her grandson Andrew (13). Our plan was to fish the platforms in Lake Borgne early with live shrimp and catch as many specks as we could. Then move into the Biloxi Marsh to see if we could get Andrew to catch his first Redfsih. First platform only 2 Specks to show and several " horn trout". Moved to another rig, put the trolling motor down and started fishing around the rig. Velma caught a nice 6lb Black Drum. We circled the rig back to where we started and caught a few Specks. I held us in that spot, we got baited up again and caught a few more. I slipped the anchor down and we caught 26 good trout in about 45 minutes. A boat moved within 50 yards of us and killed the bite. Velma and Andrew were ready to head in. I talked them into fishing the marsh for 30 minutes to see if we could get Andrew hooked up on a REDFISH. We made the run into the marsh. I set Andrew up with a live shrimp under a cork and he caught his first REDFISH a nice one over 10 pounds. Back at my dock before lunch. We all had a great time.

I have several good days open in August and Sept. October and November are starting to book up. Call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA.

Scouting report

I've been on vacation with wife and first mate, had a great time in Mexico and Aruba.

Went on a scouting trip yesterday with Capt. Dan Couvillion. First stop a shell reef in Lake Borgne that produced hundreds of specks in May & June. We fished about an hour catching everything BUT Specks. Made a move into the marsh looking for Redfish, in an hour we put a limit of Redfish in the box. I wanted to try a platform in Lake Borgne. Would like to find some Specks before we came in. Last well caught just enough for dinner. GREAT I have located fish for my client. Get home have a nice fish fry. Call client only to find out his party made other plans because of oil & closures. Now Tropical storm causing high winds. I should have stayed on vacation. Although I enjoyed Mexico and Aruba. I LIVE IN SPORTSMANS PARADISE AND ALWAYS WILL!!!!!

The fish are out there and waiting for us to catch them. As long as my area is open I'll be fishing for them. Give us a call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA. I have several captains to handle your family, friends or corporate clients. All with a NO-FISH-NO-PAY-GUARANTEE!!!

Big Chris

Central, LA USA

Report better late than never.  Dad, me and my 2 brothers made a midweek trip out w/ a world class guide Capt. Mike Gallo.  From advising us the night before on what we needed given the last few days conditions, to putting in a one stop shop of beautiful 16"+ trout (several 19+), to being able to keep up with the wisecracks from our crew it was a great trip.

We slammed the trout from the second we weighed anchor. it petered off a little bit and Mike figured out real fast what we needed to adjust to (a SWIFT incomming tide). very patient guide and a heck of a joke teller himself.  made for a trip that none of us will ever forget.

Bait of the day was live shrimp on a drop shot.  let it hit bottom and bump it a few times and BAM trout.  99 beautiful trout on the table and ~60lb of filets for the freezer. not to mention the free fish cleaning by Capt. Mike.  time and money well spent on the water with the boys and a great guide.
can you really ask for anything more?

Capt. Mike Gallo

Slidell, LA USA

Here is a report by my client on Friday. With a picture.

Cuda   I took my girlfriend Debbie fishing Friday with Captain Mike Gallo of Angling Adventures of LA. We dodged a couple of showers and managed to stay dry. We fished in Lake Bourne with live shrimp and soft plastics. Turned out we didn't need the shrimp as the trout were hittng everything we threw at them. We had only one throwback, only measured two and came back with 50 specks and 26 white trout. We did throw back about 30 white trout since we had as many as we wanted already. All the specks were fat with about half of them were really nice sized. We left the fish biting to get back before a big storm we couldn't dodge. Capt. Mike helped Debbie with with some fishing tips and I learned a couple of things as well. Mike's a great teacher and will have you hooked up in no time even if you are not very experienced or just a little rusty. With Mike's help, Debbie caught more fish than she ever had. We had a great time, heard some great jokes and stories, and caught more fish than since the last time we fished with Capt. Mike. We invited family over for a fish fry that night-can't get any better than eating fish only a few hours old. Thanks for the great trip Capt. Mike and we'll see you soon.

OUTDOORS WITH DON DUBUC REPORT

Dennis Atchison has fished with me the last few years. This year his fishing friend Gary didn't make the trip. I asked Dennis if he wanted to fish with Don Dubuc for the Outdoors show. No Problem was his reply. We fished with some big live shrimp and a few Croakers from Rigolets marina to catch a full box of Fat Speckled Trout and a limit of Redfish. We started early this morning in Lake Borgne fishing a slow falling tide with the live shrimp on a drop shot. It didn't take long berfore Dennis put a 3.5lb Speck in the boat. What a way to start out the day. We caught a good many trout with several in the 3.5 to 4 lb range. The tide slowed and the bite died. We decided to have a look at the Biloxi Marsh. I haven't been in the marsh since it reopened. We fished one of my favorite coves and caught a limit of Redfish in about 45 minutes. It was good to fish the Biloxi Marsh, one of my favorite places of all!!!!

Don's show will be on tonight at 10pm, ABC26 "OUTDOORS WITH DON DUBUC" and again tomorrow at 6pm.

Renee Caillouet came in with friend Mike to catch some fish and learn the area. We fished the tracks in Lake Pont with Dudleys to catch a few Big Specks. We didn't catch many but all 2.5 to 4.5 lbs. Made a move to some ponds of the ICW where Mike & Renee caught some tournament size REDFISH.

I made an evening trip with Dan Couvillion. Dan can't get enough fishing. We fished the ponds off the ICW to catch a few Redfish, then we moved to Lake Pontchartrain where we caught a few BIG Specks. Check the picture this Speck is just short of 6lbs.

Marvin Borderlon came in with friends Dale & Brian. We fished the bridges early to catch a few Specks. Made a move and started catching Flounder. This was fine with Marvin, He wants Flounder for his wife for Mothers day. Finished with 12 Fat Specks, 18 Flounder and 1 Drum.

I'm all booked up for May but several of the guides that fish Lake Pontchartrain and the surrounding area are ready to take you on an ANGLING ADVENTURE. Give me a call and I'll set you up. 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA

ANGLING ADVENTURES OF LOUISIANA

FISHING REPORTS

I had the good fortune to guide Chris Ruhnke and his brother-N-law Dale. We fished the bridges over Lake Pontchartrain with Dudleys on a 3/8 jig to catch a few Trout. Not the numbers I wanted but good solid 2 to 4 lbs trout. Dale & Chris also caught some perfect size Black Drum for the grill. Chris caught a 20+lb Black Drum we released to fight again. We made a move and fished the shore of Lake Borgne to look for some Redfish. We caught 6 slot Redfish and missed another 6. It turned out to be a tough day. Chris and Dale fished hard to put together a mixed box of Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder and Black Drum. Fun guys to fish with, I look forward to there return.

Aaron Reed is a young artist that comes in from the Atlanta area to sell his paintings. He really has some fine are. Check out ARTBYAARONREED.COM. He also LOVES to catch REDFISH in the marsh. He came in with his dad Nick and we went to the Biloxi Marsh. We fished H&H spinners with the Dudley Copperhead to catch the limit of Redsfish. Aaron was so excited it took him a while to slow down his spinner to the speed the Reds wanted. But when he got the correct speed he caught Redfish after Redfsih. Nick caught his share also. This was a fun father & son team to fish with. I look forward to there return.

I only have a few dates open in April & May, and several dates in June the fishing will be good in the next few weeks. Call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE!!! 985.781.7811 or 877.4.AAofLA.

I had a wonderful time fishing with Dale & Karen Norton of Tenn. This husband and wife team spent a few nights in the SPOTS & DOTS LAKE HOUSE. We fished the marsh with a new Pink colored Dudley Bay Chovie. The color doesn't have a name yet BUT it catches Speckled Trout!!!! After a short time trout fishing Dale was ready to catch his first REDFISH. I put a H&H spinner on a New Copperhead
Bay Chovie and the Redfish ate it up. Dale caught his first Redfish and his first LIMIT of REDFISH. Dale fishes for Bass in Tennessee and said the fishing for Redfish was the same only the Redfish fight MUCH HARDER!!! We all had a fun day on the water. We ended the trip with a Limit of Redfish a dozen Specks and a few Flounder. Dale and Karen are looking forward to a return trip.

FISHING REPORT

The winds of March are still blowing. Some days are better than others. I had a fun trip with John Schutte and his two sons Steve (16) and Nick (10). This fishing family came in from the Lafayette area. Nick was my fishing partner for the day. We made our way over to the marsh and started poping corks. Nick and Steve had a fun time with a small gator that fished along side the Cajun Limo for a half an hour. We tried to feed the gator some cocahoes before he decided to fish somewhere else. The trout bite was slow, we caught a few with some that were to small. I later moved us to a bayou hoping to get Nick hooked up on some Redfish. Nick caught 4 Fat REDFISH and had a fun time with each one. John told me the boys had a fun time and picked up some tips. We ended a little early with 7 Trout and 5 REDFISH, 1 Bull Redfish over 9 lbs. Steve caught most of the trout and a nice Redfish. John & I helped the boys along and fished some as well. I had a fun time John, Steve & Nick. I'll see you next time.

I have some good dates open. The next few months will be GREAT fishing. Call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA.

ANGLING ADVENTURES FISHING REPORT

I have had the pleasure to fish with Louisiana fishing legend Dutch Preger for the last 5 years. He LOVES to fish in our LA Marshes. This trip his golfing partner Dick Kilgore joined in the fun. The winds of March presented a challenge but this crew were ready to give it a try. We made our way over to the Bayou Bienvenue area where the water began to get clearer. Dutch loves to catch Sciaenops ocellatus (REDFISH). I set the guys up with shrimp & cocahoes under corks. We fished along the protected Bayous catching Redfish and a few Speckled Trout. Dutch is 85 years young and can fish like a man half his age. Dick is a good fisherman also. We cut our trip a little short and came in 3 Redfish short of our limit along with a few Specks. As always a great day with a GREAT man and his friend.

I have some open dates in April, call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA. Today I had the great pleasure to guide & fish with Marcie & Bubby Davenport. Bubba has fished SE Louisiana over 70 years. He is 84 years young and going strong. His lovely bride Marcie loves to fish. We made our way over to the Bayou Bienvenue area where we fished plastics under a poping cork to catch a nice box of fish. Marcie caught a nice fat REDFISH then Bubba caught some specks. We picked up one here and one there most of the day. The drop off's along the bayou is where the best size trout came from. Marcie caught a CAJUN SLAM Redfish, Flounder & Speckled Trout. We all had a great time and I look forward to there return.

With the warming tempatures the fishing is only going to get better & better. Call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA. Marsh/Coastal Fishing Report

Capt. Mike Gallo

Slidell, LA USA

Hello Anglers  Capt. Mike Gallo here to see if I can provide some tips to make this weekends Angling Adventure a success.

Looks like we are going to have a chance to fish this weekend. I'll be on the water tomorrow evening. If I get a chance I'll post.

With water temps getting to 60 degrees. The speckled Trout will get more aggressive. A poping cork and your favorite plastic will get the strike. I usually fish light color plastics. This is a transition time of year so move often or keep moving, drifting. Last trip we found most of our fish along the drop off of bayou's or near current lines. As always we looked for bait movement and clean moving water. We fished our corks close by bait. We never did get on a fast bite but we did catch two or three at a time, as the day progressed we had a nice mix of Specks, Redfish and Flounder. I set my plastic about 2ft below the cork. I always use a 1/8 or 1/16th oz plain jig. The smaller jig allows the plastic to "fall" longer. The specks strike most of the time on the "fall". I will be fishing the evening to give the water a chance to warm up. I did try bouncing plastics along the bottom but the best bite came on the poping cork and plastic.

March is usually windy so take advantage of this weekend and catch some fish.

I hope this information helps.

If you want to book an ANGLING ADVENTURE give me a call or shoot me an email. 985-781-7811. I have several boats with great captains, on the water lodging and NO-FISH-NO-PAY-GUARANTEED!!!!

FISHING REPORT

Dan Couvillion called a few days ago, to ask how's the fishing? I told him I'd be maiking trips as soon as the water temps get close to 60 Degrees. He wanted to make a trip and today was the day. We left my dock at mid morning to let the sun heat the water. The water in SE Pontchartrain is still dirty. We made our way over to the Bayou Thomas area. We fished the lee shore line of lake Borgne in 59 degree water. I hooked a small trout he came to the top, shook his head and spit the hook. We were both fishing 3/8oz jigs with plastics bounced off the bottom. When that trout came to the top and shook it's head I knew the water tempatures weren't to cold. We then started poping corks with plastics on an 1/8 oz jig. This is how most of our fish were caught. We did catch a few in a bayou off the ICW. The fish were scattered along the drop off of the bayou. Some were caught with the poping cork and some were caught bouncing the jig. We did catch a few Flounder and a Big REDFISH to round out our day. There are some fish to be caught. As the water gets to a consistant 60 degrees the action will get much better. Remember to keep moving, the fish are scattered. Often we would catch a small trout and then a keeper but most were one here and one there. We had a fun day as always. Dan was ready to head back to land with 13 Specks 13" to 17", 2 Flounder and 1 Big REDFISH.

I have been booking trips for Spring, Summer and Fall. Call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA. On site on the water accommodations and as always NO-FISH-NO-PAY-GUARANTEED!!!!!

THANKS to everyone who emailed me concerned about AAofLA. We are all fine. The high water will only last a short time and will make the fishing even better. We will have great fishing in the Rigolets area for the next several weeks.

Call to book a trip.

Here are a few reports I didn't get a chance to post.

I have had the pleasure to fish with Tony Louvier for 6 years now. Tony came in from the St-Louis area. His fishing partner Ron jumped on the Cajun Limo for an ANGLING ADVENTURE in the Biloxi Marsh. The guys fished shrimp under a cork to put a limit of Nice REDFISH in the box. It was a fun time as always. See you next year Tony & Ron.

Eric Finley started fishing with AofLA this year. He is a new fisherman. He enjoyed himself so much earlier this year, that he booked a trip with wife Pam and friends Ken & Marion. We fished the local area with shrimp on a hard shell bottom bayou to catch 40 Specks and a nice Flounder. When the tide slowed the bite slowed. We made a few moves with little results and called it a day before lunch. A fun group to fish with.

RIGOLETS FISHING REPORT

Over the years Glen Clements has purchased several of the trips I donate to CCA. This year his fishing team consist of Glen, Ed and his wife Beth and Roland. We made our way to Lake Borgne and fished a well that has held fish so far this month. It didn't long and we were putting them in the box every cast. Live shrimp on a drop shot rig was the ticket. Ed hooked into a big fish and played it for a while and then right into the net. A big Bull Redfish, we snapped a picture and released her to spawn. Roland was holding the live shrimp hostage. He wanted to head to the Biloxi Marsh to catch a few Redfish. We picked up anchor and headed that way. We fished a few hours in the marsh catching 6 nice slot sized REDFISH and adding about a dozen trout to the box. We all had a fun time telling jokes and fishing stories(lies). I look forward to there return.

Capt. Mike Gallo

Slidell, LA USA

Here are a few reports from some good clients of mine.

Vickie & Blair THANKS you are great!!!

Can the jinx be broken?

My friend Russ has this theory about fishing jinxes.  If he fishes with somebody 2 or 3 times and they don’t catch fish, then he won’t fish with them again because he believes it’s a jinxed combination.  I never put much stock in that, but I gotta admit that I was starting to wonder.  It seemed that whenever my friend Irene went fishing with me we couldn’t buy a fish, much less catch one.  It was puzzling to me because each time we went it was after I had caught lots of fish the day before, the week before, or whatever, and the conditions each and every time seemed to be good - clear water, good tide range, plenty of bait in the water, you get the picture.    We should have caught fish, but we didn’t.  Well, I was bound and determined that it wasn’t going to happen again.  This time Irene was going to catch fish, guaranteed!  I called on the “MoJo” of Captain Mike Gallo to help bust this jinx.   So, it was with high hopes that we started out Monday morning.  Capt. Mike had never failed me in the past, but I admit I was a little nervous when we started out in Lake Ponchartrain with nothing to show for our efforts except a couple of pinfish.  Was the jinx too strong even for the mighty Capt. Mike?     After two spots we came up empty - and he had caught fish in those very same spots just the day before, and in much worse conditions!   Could it be happening again?   I told him about the jinx and Capt Mike just grinned.  Without any hesitation he pointed the ‘Cajun Limo’ in the direction of the Biloxi marsh and away we went.      We pulled up at the first spot and you know what?  Whamo, Bamo, Ram-a-Lama-ding-dong, it was on!   Irene caught her first Redfish!  Her first Speckled Trout!  Her first Sheepshead!  Her first Black-Drum!   And, just like that the jinx was broken.   We ended the day with a limit of Reds, I don’t know how many trout (a bunch), a couple of “heads”, a couple of Drums, and smiles all around.

Two friends and I fished yesterday with Capt. Mike Gallo of Angling Adventures Of LA, in Slidell. We got a late start of 10:30 or so, waiting to see what the weather was going to do. We fished in the marsh, using artificials and live shrimp. Never hit any one spot where we filled the box, but every time our spot played out, Capt. Mike would find us another spot that had clean water and add to the box. At the end of the day, despite wind that never let up, we had 12 redfish, 25 trout, 2 flounders, and a sheepshead, with very few throwbacks. I believe this was my 10th trip with Capt. Mike, and I'm looking forward to #11. Thanks for the great time yesterday, Capt. Mike!

RIGOLETS FISHING REPORTS

The fishing in the Rigolets area is good and getting better each day.

Here are some reports of my last few trips.

Roland Meariman came in from the Matairie area with sons Roland & Bill and daughter Monique. This was a birthday trip for Monique. She told me she would be happy to catch one fish. I told here we would start with one and then work on catching 5 and then 10 and so on. Monique caught 27 of the 90 fish we caught this trip. Needless to say she had a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! We fished some rigs in Lake Borgne with live shrimp on the bottom. We had 79 trout, Specks & White, 1 Sheepshead, 1 Flounder (Monique) 7 Big Croaker and 2 Channel Mullet.

Patrick Richardson has fished with me a few years now. His wife Deborah wanted to see if catching fish was as much fun as Patrick says. They booked a few days in the SPOTS & DOTS LAKE HOUSE. I fished with them one day and Capt. Kenny fished with them another. On my way to the marsh I just couldn't pass up the castle in Lake Borgne. We caught 9 Fat 18" to 22" Specks there before the tide movement was to strong. We then moved to the marsh and caught 6 nice big Redfish, all 22" to 30", before Deborah was ready to head in. Capt. Kenny took Deborah & Pat to the bridges in Lake Pontchartrain they caught there limit of Black Drum, 3 Big Flounder and several Speckled Trout. Pat & Deborah are looking forward to there next trip. I have several boats and on the water accommodations. Call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811. I GUARANTEE FISH & FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Capt. Mike Gallo

RIGOLETS FISHING REPORTS

Buddy Clark came in with a group of five anglers from the Hattiesburg MS area. They spent the night at the SPOTS & DOTS LAKE HOUSE.  I could smell a big breakfast while I was getting the boat ready for our trip. Buddy was entertaining some of his clients with a days fishing. Capt Kenny helped with the group and did a great job as always. We fished the bridges over Lake Pontchartrain and caught a box of nice Black Drum and several Flounder before we split up. I went to the marsh looking for Redfish and Capt. Kenny went looking for trout. We met up at my dock just after lunch with 15 Drum, 19 Speckled trout, 9 Redfish, 8 Flounder and a fat Sheepshead. We all had a fun time. All fish caught with live shrimp on the bottom. Redfish caught with shrimp under corks in the marsh.

I had the pleasure to guide and fish with Becky Wall, her husband Jim and son Jimmy. This is their third trip. They come down from Al for a couple of days to catch fish. We fished the tracks over Lake Pontchartrain to catch a limit of Black Drum and 4 Redfish. Becky caught a 35lb Black Drum which we released to spawn.

Day 2 we headed for the platforms in Lake Borgne looking for Speckled Trout. Still fishing live shrimp on a drop shot rig They caught 39 Specks and 3 drum. This time Jimmy caught a 25lb Black Drum that we released.

RIGOLETS FISHING REPORTS

I have had the pleasure to fish with Bob Bergeron and Steve Purcell for 10 years. This group loves to fish. They come in each year a few times and fish a couple of days. This years fall crew were Bob, Steve, Butch, Jason, Ed, Alberto, Larry & Mike. They spent a few days in the SPOTS & DOTS LAKE HOUSE. We put them in four boats so everyone would have plenty of room to catch fish. Captains, John, Kenny & John all did a fine job with this group. We fished the Biloxi Marsh area with plastics and caught several boxes of fish. 114 Speckled Trout, 48 Redfish, 16 Flounder. As usuall this group had a great time and caught alot of fish. They were already talking about next spring.

Bruce Comrie guides in South America for Peacock Bass, But a few years ago I got him hooked on REDFISH. This trip he came in with friend Mike. They spent a few nights in the SPOTS & DOTS LAKE HOUSE. They are from Jacksonville Fl area. With the water high I took the guys deep in the Biloxi Marsh. They fished H&H spinners to catch there limit of Redfish each day along with 14 Speckled Trout, 3 Flounder and a couple of Black Drum. Mike had never sigh cast to Redfish but this trip I was able to put him right on top of a nice Redfish. Mike made a good cast and we both watched as the Redfish ate is spinner. The fight was on. ANGLING ADVENTURES OF LOUISIANA

RIGOLETS FISHING REPORTS

It's been a long time since I had enough time to post. But here are a few of my recent trips.

Mike & Mary Thornton came in for a stay at the SPOTS & DOTS LAKE HOUSE. They brought fishing friends Jobe & Tom. We pulled away from my dock at safe light and made our way over to the Biloxi Marsh. We fished a hard bottom cove on the outskirts of the marsh to catch a box full of fish. Most fish caught on shrimp under a cork but we did catch some on Dudleys bounced off the bottom. The fishing in the marsh is great and will only get better as the water cools down. At the cleaning station I counted 18 REDFISH all over 24".   29 Fat Specks (14" to 20") and 9 Flat fish.

Captains Kenny & John both had good days fishing the Rigolets area. There fishermen were all smiles as there fish were being cleaned. I didn't get a count but they had full boxes of fish.

Tom Cooper has fished with me the last 8 years. He really enjoys the time on the water. This trip his brother-N-law I.E (Junior) came in from NC. They had a good nights sleep  at the SPOTS & DOTS and were ready as I lowered the Cajun Limo into the water. We fished the Rigolets area catching 7 Redfish, 12 Speckled Trout, 2 Flounder and a Big Sheepshead. Tom will be back right after Thanksgiving with his son & grandsons.

Dan Fletcher and his fishing wife Bobby came in and had a relaxing evening at the SPOTS & DOTS LAKE HOUSE. They grilled some stake and had a fun time. We fished the Biloxi Marsh area with shrimp under a cork to catch a full box of fish. Dan had never caught a Redfish. He saw Don Dubuc and myself on Paradise Louisiana some time back and called to book a trip. Dan caught his first Redfish and his first LIMIT of Redfish. His wife Bobby had a great time catching Specks and a BIG Flounder. We ended the day with 37 Specks, 7 Redfish, 5 Flounder, 1 great time.

I have boats open. The fishing is great and getting better. Call to book your ANGLING ADVENTURE 985-781-7811 or 877-4-AAofLA.

I GUARANTEE FISH & FUN!!!!!

On the water accommodations sleeps 10 with all the comforts of home.
Thanks Capt. Mike Gallo
